Beef Dishes at Lin's Garden, Milford MA
Beef is one of the most satisfying proteins to cook in a wok. Sliced thin and seared over high heat, it stays tender while picking up the flavor of the sauce around it. The beef section of our menu includes twelve dishes, from mild stir-fries with broccoli and pea pods to fiery Szechuan and Hunan plates. Most beef entrées are $14.25, while Orange Flavored Beef and Sesame Beef are $15.95.
Every dish can be ordered for pick-up at 206 E Main St, Milford, MA 01757, or for delivery in our local delivery area. Call (508) 478-3188 to order.
Mild Beef Stir-Fries
If you prefer a savory dish without chili heat, start here:
- Beef with Broccoli – the best-known beef dish in American-Chinese cooking: tender beef and bright green broccoli in a brown sauce.
- Beef with Green Peppers – sweet peppers add crunch and color.
- Beef with Peapods – crisp snow peas with a light, clean flavor.
- Beef with Black Mushrooms and Peapods – earthy black mushrooms give the sauce extra depth.
- Beef with Mushrooms Chow Yoke – a Cantonese-style beef and mushroom stir-fry.
- Beef with Chinese Vegetables – a colorful mix of vegetables for a balanced plate.
Spicy Szechuan and Hunan Beef
Dishes shown in red on our menu are spicy. For beef, that includes:
- Szechuan Style Beef – bold and savory, in the style of China's Sichuan province.
- Kung Pao Beef with Peanuts – a classic with roasted peanuts and dried chili.
- Beef with Garlic Sauce – a spicy, garlicky sauce that is great over white rice.
- Hunan Spiced Beef – a hot, rich dish inspired by Hunan cooking.
- Orange Flavored Beef – crispy beef with a sweet, citrusy and spicy glaze.
Sesame Beef is crispy and sweet with toasted sesame seeds and is not marked spicy, which makes it a good choice for guests who want a crispy dish without much heat.
What to Serve with Beef
Most people enjoy beef entrées with rice. You can add steamed white rice or upgrade to fried rice from our rice menu. Noodles are another good partner – beef lo mein or beef chow foon are both popular. For a balanced order, pair one beef dish with one chicken or vegetable dish so the table has a mix of textures and flavors.
Beef in Other Parts of the Menu
If you love beef, you will find more options elsewhere on the menu. Mongolian Beef, Mandarin Crispy Beef and Yuen Yang Spicy Beef are in our House Specialties, and several dinner combos include beef with vegetables, beef with broccoli, Kung Pao beef and beef with garlic sauce served as a complete meal.
Customizing Your Beef Order
You can use the "Sp. Request" field to note changes such as less oil, extra vegetables, no onions, or a different spice level. We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests. If you have a food allergy – for example to peanuts in Kung Pao Beef – please tell us when you call so we can take extra care.
Reheating Leftovers
Beef stir-fries reheat well. Warm them in a hot pan for two or three minutes, adding a spoon of water if the sauce looks thick. Crispy dishes such as Orange Flavored Beef and Sesame Beef keep their crunch best when reheated in an oven or air fryer rather than a microwave.
Szechuan vs. Hunan: What Is the Difference?
Both styles come from inland China and both love chili, but they taste different. Szechuan (Sichuan) cooking is famous for bold, layered flavors and dishes like Kung Pao, where heat is balanced with savory, sweet and nutty notes. Hunan cooking is often described as hotter and more direct, with a rich, deep sauce. On our menu, Szechuan Style Beef and Kung Pao Beef are good introductions to Szechuan flavor, while Hunan Spiced Beef is the choice for guests who want a stronger kick. If you are not sure, start with Beef with Garlic Sauce – it has moderate heat and a garlicky, slightly sweet sauce that most people enjoy.
Beef for Families and Groups
Beef with Broccoli is the easiest beef dish to share with children or anyone who prefers mild food. For a mixed group, order one mild and one spicy beef dish so everyone has a choice, and add a large fried rice or lo mein for the table.
